XCOM: Enemy Unknown PC Pre-Order Singapore (And Asia)

I've been waiting for a proper X-Com sequel for sooo long and finally, it's here!

And because X-Com was one of those things that made PC gaming great, they've decided to make the PC version the 'Special Edition'.

On top of the pre-order bonuses, you'd also get:

  • Fold out poster of the XCOM base
  • Art book detailing the conceptual journey of the re-imagining of the classic
  • Patch of the XCOM "Vigilo/Confido" insignia
  • Digital bonus items including multi-monitor desktops, soundtrack, and more

But here's the thing, apparently, the special edition for Asia (meaning Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, etc) will not have all the items. I contacted 2K Games Asia and they confirmed that for the Asia PC 'Special Edition', ONLY the poster & digital bonus items are included.

So, the XCOM PC Asia Not-So-Special Edition WILL NOT have the art book and patch.

As a huge XCOM Fan in Singapore, you can imagine how disappointed I was. So, the only way to get the additional bonuses is to order the US version.

Thankfully, there's no need to go through the Amazon route this time…because there's Play-Asia!

Play-Asia's based in Hong Kong and being the resourceful HKers that they are, they've somehow managed to carry the US version in their lineup. You know what's the best part? Free next day delivery for Singapore..so that means no US$19.90 shipping by amazon!

The only catch I know is that it won't be delivered on US launch date of 9th October. The listed date on Play-Asia is October 12, following the worldwide release date, so I suspect the goods will arrive on the 13th. I don't mind waiting a few days more if it means saving US$19.90.

I've placed my order. Can't wait!

Update: Confirmed with 2K Asia on 7/10/12 that for PC there are no region restrictions on and no steam issues to worry about.

Click here to order from Play-Asia now!
